Central to Coastcrete Constructions’ business culture is our commitment to the health and safety of our employees and everyone who visits our work areas.  Coastcrete Constructions is determined to be the industry leader in occupational health and safety, to satisfy legislative requirements and to achieve our vision of “Safety is Everything”.


We are achieving this by:

  • Complying with AS 4801 Workplace Health & Safety Act 1995 (Queensland) and other applicable laws, regulations and statutory obligations
  • Ensuring all employees, clients and sub-contractors endorse our “Safety is Everything” vision
  • Establishing and continually developing education systems and training
  • Ensuring consistent safety practices across all our work sites
  • Eliminating or controlling hazards
  • Undertaking regular audits of safety practices and management systems
  • Taking disciplinary action when people disregard health and safety procedures and practices
  • Ensuring all incidents and near misses are fully investigated and action taken to prevent recurrence
  • Taking specific action to improve safety performance
  • Regular consultation and targeted communication to employees, sub-contractors and clients
  • Providing an effective system of rehabilitation management for injured employees

All employees and sub-contractors are required to:

  • Adhere to Coastcrete Constructions’ safe work practices, objectives and instructions
  • Immediately report any unsafe work practices/equipment/conditions to their supervisor
  • Not misuse, damage, refuse to use, or interfere with anything provided for the purposes of occupational health and safety
